The Christian Centre held an event this year called 'The Cross Crusade'. It was held on the Easter Saturday in George square in the city centre of Glasgow. Many of our church members attended the event and also many students, people from others churches and organisations, including 'Christian prison ministry', 'The Stauros foundation', 'Open doors trust',  'Church of the Nazarene', and many others. The plan was a silent witness to carry a massive wooden cross around the perimeter of George square at Easter, and after many attempts to get permission from the city council, we were given a last minute allocation to go ahead with the event.

It was a fantastic day and all Glory to the Lord, as the sun came out and the people came out and cameras and videos were being taken as the faith filled saints carried the cross around the square. We ran the event from 11 a.m. till 6 p.m. and many thousands of people saw the individuals carrying the cross of our Lord Jesus. Buses and cars drove past the square and the look on some of their faces was a sight to behold. Many thousands of passers-by also stopped and stared, others just hurried past. One elderly gentleman took off his cap as a sign of respect; a small boy pointed and exclaimed "look its Jesus's cross". A large crown of teenagers had also gathered on the grassy part of the square to party and hang out, we spoke to many of them. One young guy even took a turn at carrying the cross, amazing!!! We hope to hold the same event next year, please pray with us, support us and join with us as we seek to raise the profile of Jesus in the city centre of Glasgow.
 

Other missions we have seen recently is to pass testimony tracts and also invitations to the church. Thousands of these leaflets were given out in George square, Buchanan Street, and Sauchiehall Street.

Future events
 
We will continue with the great commission in the city centre of Glasgow by putting invitations through as many houses as we can in the Townhead area this summer, also other events are being planned.
